On December 9, 2022, the Ch.Сh. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology together with the Central Scientific Library «Gylym Ordasy» in honor of the 80th anniversary of the birth of the famous scientist-historian, public figure, candidate of Historical Sciences, professor, knight of the Order «Kurmet» Kaydar Seisembaevich Aldazhumanov held an international scientific and practical conference «The History of the Fatherland in the XX century: current problems and new positions».
The conference was attended by well-known historians of the Republic of Kazakhstan and deans of universities, heads and employees of the Central State Archive of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Archive of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, state and public figures from different parts of Kazakhstan.
The moderator of the event was the director of the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Ch.Ch. Valikhanov, corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Kabuldinov Ziyabek Ermukhanovich.
The conference featured memories from the pages of the scientist’s life, about the work he has done in science. Topical and modern problems of studying the history of Kazakhstan of the twentieth century were also discussed, reports were made on the contribution of Aldazhumanov Kaidar Seisembaevich to the development of the national historical science of the twentieth century.
Also, together with the RSU «Central State Archive» of the Committee for Archives and Management of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Ch.Ch. Valikhanov of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the RSE «Gylym Ordasy», a presentation of the bio-bibliographic index of the scientist-historian Aldazhumanov Kaidar Seisembaevich was held.
Within the framework of the conference among young scientists of the Institute, researcher Malika Temirkhanovna Moryakova was awarded a scholarship named after K.S. Aldazhumanov.
