SCIENTIFIC-PRACTICAL CONFERENCE “KHASAN ORALTAI AND THE VALUE OF SERVING FOR THE INDEPENDENCE OF THE COUNTRY”


On May 4, 2023, on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the birth of Hassan Oraltai, an international scientific and practical conference on the topic “Hassan Oraltai and the value of service for the independence of the country” was held at the Chokan Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology.

The conference dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the outstanding Kazakh public figure, international journalist, patriot, laureate of the International Literary Prize “Alash”, the Prize “Altyn Samruk” of the Academy of Journalism of Kazakhstan Hassan Oraltay, was attended by a well-known scientist, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Mekemtas Myrzakhmetov, writer, playwright Smagul Elubay, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Chairman of the Association of Historians Mambet Koygeldiev, Charles Carlson, former director of Radio Liberty (Azattyk) from countries near and far abroad (USA). Colleagues of Khasan Oraltay on Azattyk radio, in turn, noted the achievements of the leader in a video, presentation.

During the conference, a congratulatory speech sent by the Minister of Information and Social Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kydyrali Darkhan Kuandykuly, was read. The main goal of the conference is to popularize the value of serving the independence of the Kazakh people, to encourage the younger generation to strengthen the independence of our state, as well as to create a new Kazakhstan, using the example of the life and work of Hassan Oraltay.
