ABOUT E.R. KOCHIEV’S SCIENTIFIC TRIP TO KOKSHETAU


Scientific trip of junior researcher, Master of International Relations, Deputy Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology, Department of World History and External Relations of E.R. Kochiyev in Kokshetau, Republic of Kazakhstan, within the framework of the project “D.A. Kunaev’s contribution to the socio-economic development of Kazakhstan and the preservation of the territorial integrity of the Republic” April 23 – April 30 , 2023

A meeting was held with the director of the KSU “State Archive of Akmola Region” of the
Department of Digitalization and Archives of Akmola region – Batyrkhanov Temirbek
Berkutbayevich, during which, within the framework of a previously signed memorandum of
cooperation, a book was handed over on behalf of the director of the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology Z.E. Kabuldinov, contacts were strengthened. As part of the work at the KSU “State Archive of Akmola Region” of the Department of Digitalization and Archives of Akmola region, documents and photographic materials related to the project topic were identified and digitized – 376 sheets, 17 cases.

A meeting was held and contact was established with the director of the Akmola Regional
Universal Scientific Library named after M. Zhumabayev, the famous akyn, Ospanov Kuanysh
Yergalievich, during which, on behalf of the director of the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of
History and Ethnology Z.E. Kabuldinov, the process of exchanging books and publications was carried out. Kuanysh Yergalievich Ospanov also kindly donated the following books to the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology:

A meeting was held with the First Vice–Rector of Ualikhanov University – Baytuk Galym
Simbekovich, during which, within the framework of the previously signed memorandum of
cooperation, on behalf of the director of the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and
Ethnology Z.E. Kabuldinov, the process of exchanging books and publications was carried out, contacts were strengthened. Also, it was possible to visit the fund of rare editions of the Library of the Ualikhanov University.

In particular, Baytuk Galym Simbekovich kindly provided the following book as a gift to the
Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology:

A meeting was held with the head of the CDOT, associate professor of the Ualikhanov
University – Utegenov Marat Zennatovich, during which, on behalf of the director of the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology Z.E. Kabuldinov, the process of exchanging books and publications was carried out in the building of the Department of History of Kazakhstan and “Rukhani Zhangyru”, contacts were strengthened. In particular, Utegenov Marat Zennatovich kindly provided the following rare books as a gift to the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology:

Signing of memorandums of cooperation.
A meeting was held and contact was established with the director of the Akmola Regional
Universal Scientific Library named after M. Zhumabayev, the famous akyn – Ospanov Kuanysh Yergalievich, during which a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Akmola Regional Universal Scientific Library named after M. Zhumabayev and the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology.

A meeting was held and contact was established with the director of the KSU “Museum of the History of the City of Kokshetau” of the Department of Culture of the Akmola region –
Gabdullina Botagoz Zhakenovna, during which a memorandum of cooperation was signed
between the KSU “Museum of the History of the City of Kokshetau” of the Department of
Culture of the Akmola region and the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology.

A meeting was held and contact was established with the editor–in-chief of the newspaper
“Akmolinskaya Pravda” – Kokorina Vladislava Yurievna, during which preparatory work was
carried out to conclude a memorandum of cooperation between LLP “Akmola–Tirshilik” and the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology, represented by the owner of LLP
“Akmola-Tirshilik” – Yergaliev Zhabal Yergalievich.

A meeting was held and contact was established with the director of the KSU “Malik Gabdullin Museum” of the Akmola Region Department of Culture – Mukushov Kenzhebai Zhanibekovich, during which preparatory work was carried out to conclude and supplement the points of the memorandum of cooperation between the KSU “Malik Gabdullin Museum” of the Akmola Region Department of Culture and the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology.

A meeting was held and contact was established with the director of the State Archive of
Kokshetau of Akmola Region – Zhusupbekova Dinara Karimovna, during which preparatory
work was initiated to conclude and supplement the points of the memorandum of cooperation between the State Archive of Kokshetau of Akmola Region and the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology.

A meeting was held and contact was strengthened with the director of the Akmola Regional
Museum of Local Lore of the Akmola Region Department of Culture – Myrzabek Kudaiberli
Rakhymbekuly within the framework of the previously signed memorandum of cooperation. The idea of a possible joint implementation of the project on the “Shokan Ualikhanov Map” was discussed.

The editor–in-chief of the newspaper “Akmolinskaya Pravda” – Kokorina Vladislav Yurievna
accepted for publication the article “Important aspects of the foreign policy legacy of
Dinmukhamed Akhmedovich Kunaev” authored by E.R. Kochiyev, which will be published in
the near future.

In general, as a result of the business trip, the activities of the Institute were promoted among local scientific communities, contacts were established and strengthened, meetings with heads of scientific organizations were organized, memorandums of cooperation were signed.

A meeting was held with the Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the Ualikhanov
University – PhD Yesenzholov Baurzhan Khairdenovich, during which: contacts were
established, proposals were developed to determine priorities, form and realize the professional interests of young specialists; assistance in the implementation of priority areas of scientific activity identified by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Ministry of Education and IIE; consideration questions on interaction in the formation and implementation of a unified state research activity; participation in the popularization and promotion of the results of the research activities of the Council of Young Scientists of the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology and the Ualikhanov University. The meeting was also attended by a young scientist- historian, a 3rd-year doctoral student on the topic of the study “Edige Batyr”, a member of the Council of young scientists of the Ualikhanov University – Talapker.

As part of the work at the KSU “State Archive of Akmola Region” of the Department of
Digitalization and Archives of Akmola region, documents and photographic materials related to the project topic were identified and digitized – 376 sheets, 16 cases. This made it possible to significantly expand and deepen knowledge about the history of the region during the time of D.A. Kunaev, as well as to make previously inaccessible secret and top secret archival documents and photographic materials available for scientific research. Digitized materials can also be used in the future to create interactive exhibitions and online resources on the history of the region.

7 books were purchased for the Institute’s library. This will expand and deepen the knowledge of scientists and students of the Institute about the history of the region, as well as supplement the existing literature of the Institute. These books can also be used to prepare educational materials and conduct research.

Memorandums of cooperation were signed to establish closer ties with scientific and educational institutions of the region, as well as with other scientific organizations of the city of Kokshetau. Memoranda can also become the basis for joint projects, research and exchange of experience
between institutions.

The Institute’s activities have been promoted among local scientific communities, contacts have been established and strengthened, meetings with the heads of a number of scientific
organizations have been organized. As part of the scientific trip, meetings were organized with the heads and representatives of local scientific organizations, at which the goals and objectives of our Institute and project were presented, as well as our achievements and work in the field of history and culture of the region were told. The Institute and the project were represented. In addition, new contacts have been established and the old ones have been strengthened, which will allow us to conduct joint research and projects in the field of historical science in the future.

A database of local historians has been compiled. As part of the scientific trip, information was collected about local historians who are engaged in the study of the history and culture of the region. Meetings were held with them, at which information was collected about their work, publications and achievements. Based on the collected information, a database was created that will be useful for the further work of the Institute and joint projects with local historians. In the future, we will be able to conduct more complete and comprehensive studies of the history and culture of the region, as well as jointly publish scientific papers and articles.
