Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, and Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan! 👨🏫
The topic of the lecture was “Kazakhstan – A Colony of the Russian Empire in the Early 20th Century.” Academician Kabyldinov provided a detailed analysis of the key events of the early 20th century, focusing on the activities of the members of the “Alash” party and their struggle for Kazakhstan’s independence. He emphasized the historical significance of the First All-Kazakh Congress of 1917 and the creation of an independent Kazakh democratic state — Alash Orda.
Furthermore, the scholar discussed the development of diplomatic relations between Kazakhstan and Russia, as well as Kazakhstan’s geopolitical role in Central Asia.
The event brought together students, master’s and doctoral candidates, and faculty members from the Department of History, who were able to ask questions and receive comprehensive answers on the pressing issues of history and modernity.
