SCIENCE COMMITTEE OF THE MINISTRY OF SCIENCE AND HIGHER EDUCATION
OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN
INSTITUTE OF HISTORY AND ETHNOLOGY NAMED AFTER SH.SH. UALIKHANOV
INFORMATION LETTER

Dear colleagues!
On May, 23, 2025, Institute of History and Ethnology after Ch.Ch. Valikhanov will hold a scientific seminar on the topic: “Current problems of studying the history of neighboring countries today and in the coming years”. The purpose of the scientific seminar is to identify current problems of today and the coming time in revealing our common history with neighboring countries based on data.
The multi-thousand-year history of the countries bordering Kazakhstan is closely intertwined in many ways. This includes the general ethnocultural and ethnopolitical history of the nomads who inhabited the Great Steppe, which dates back a long time ago. Such a common history can be proved by a set of sources necessary for the study of ancient times, the middle ages and recent historical periods. From this point of view, studying the history of neighboring countries is important for an in-depth study of the country’s history.
We invite scientists, specialists, doctoral and undergraduates, and students to participate and express their opinions in the scientific seminar “Current problems of studying the history of neighboring countries today and in the coming years”.
Time of the scientific seminar: 23.05.2025, 12.00.
Zoom ID: 831 1210 3603.
Zoom code: 215858.
