On August 24, 2026, the Ch. Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology hosted a round table titled “Prospects for the Use of Digital Tools in Historical and Ethnographic Research: Metagraph Modeling and Neurocognitive Predictive Assessment”
The keynote speaker was Irina Sovetovna Karabulatova, Doctor of Sciences and Professor. She is Head of the Research Center for Digital Humanities Technologies at Heilongjiang University in Harbin, China, Professor at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence of Lomonosov Moscow State University, and a member of the European Academy of Natural Sciences named after Leibniz and the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences.
During the meeting, the Institute’s staff learned about modern digital tools that can be applied in historical and ethnographic research. Special attention was given to the potential of artificial intelligence, metagraph modeling, and new methods of scientific data analysis.
The round table was held in a warm and engaging atmosphere. The Institute’s staff had an opportunity to ask questions, share their views, and discuss the prospects for using digital technologies in their research.
