At the Institute in period of 2017-2021 years memorial cabinets named after prominent historians who made a huge contribution to the development of the Institute and fundamental historical research were opened – A. Nusupbekov, Y. Bekmakhanov, M. Asylbekov, T. Balakayev, M. Kozybaev, K. Nurpeisov, Z. Kinayatuly. In 2021, the cabinet of State Commission for the Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repressions was opened at the Institute.
At the Institute operates a computer publishing center (since 2003y.) for the publication of scientific products, also a library and an archive.
The Institute has its own website (iie.kz), where information about its activities, employees, events and the main results of ongoing research is located. The site contains links to the electronic portal of the encyclopedia “Great Names of the Great Steppe” (names-steppe.witharts.kz), which includes information about 100 historical figures in 3 languages, developed by the Institute, as well as to the sites of 3 scientific journals. The portal of the State Commission for the full rehabilitation of victims of political repression is currently being developed.
The Institute has own YouTube channel (studio.youtube.com), as well as pages on social networks Facebook and Instagram.
