On January 31, 2023, at the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Chokan Valikhanov, a meeting was held between the leadership of the institute, headed by director Z. Kabuldinov, and the president of the International Turkic Academy, Shahin Majid oglu Mustafayev.

The meeting was also attended by a prominent Kazakh historian and orientalist, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor of Historical Sciences Bolat Kumekov. The Director of the Institute acquainted Shakhin Mustafayev with the results of the Institute’s work in recent years.

During the meeting, the President of the Academy spoke about the intentions of further cooperation with the Institute to popularize the study of Turkic history.

The leadership decided to study this issue, as well as send relevant proposals to the Turkic Academy.

During the meeting, the President of the International Turkic Academy invited the scientists of the Institute to participate in the work of the International Congress of Turkic Statehood, and also supported the idea of creating the School of Young Historians of the Turkic World.

At the end of the meeting, the guest of honor was presented with books published by the Institute as a gift.
