On February 17, 2023, a meeting was held between scientists of the Chokan Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology and Professor of the Institute of Turkic Studies at Istanbul University, author of the book “Ospan Batyr and the National Struggle in East Turkestan (1941-1951)”, a well-known researcher, Mr. Omir Kul, who participated in a seminar organized at the Institute, entitled: “The main directions of Turkish researchers in the study of the Turkic world: problems and the future”.

At the meeting, both sides discussed issues of mutual cooperation between Turkey and Kazakhstan. In particular, Mr. Omir Kul told us about the provision of scholarships for undergraduates and doctoral students from the Turkic world.
