INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC AND PRACTICAL CONFERENCE “ABYLAI KHAN AND KAZAKH STATEHOOD: HISTORICAL PROCESSES AND CONTINUITY”


May 18, 2023 Institute of History and Ethnology named after Chokan Valikhanov of the Committee of Science of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan within the framework of the first readings of the famous historian, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Zardykhan Kinayatuly held an International scientific and practical conference “Abylai Khan and Kazakh statehood: historical processes and continuity” dedicated to the 310th anniversary of Abylai Khan.

The conference was attended by an outstanding scientist, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Academician of NAS RK Kumekov B.E., Doctor of Historical Sciences, sinologist, chief researcher of the International Center for the Rapprochement of Cultures of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan (UNESCO category 2) Khafizova K.Sh., leading researcher of the Institute of History and Ethnology named after historian CH.CH Valikhanov, Ph.D., member of the Union of Writers of Kazakhstan D. Alimgazy with the topic of the report “Lessons of a major public figure, scientist historian Zardykhan Kinayatuly”, doctoral students and undergraduates.

Young scientists of the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Ch. Valikhanov (M.T. Moryakov, V.S. Zikirbaeva and B.B. Burkhanova) were awarded a scholarship to them. Zardyhana Kinayatuly.

In the course of the work, the presentation of the collection of conference materials and the book “Bibliographic Dictionary of Kipchak scholars” took place.

The conference discussed the scientific research of Zardykhan Kinayatuly and their historical significance, conceptual and methodological approaches to the content of the history of the Kazakh Khanate under Abylai Khan, modern historiographic and source studies achievements in the study of the history of Kazakhstan, the activities of rulers, judges, batyrs and others in the history of the Kazakh Khanate.
