Presentation of the book “The Seventh Country – the new national-state ideology of the Kazakh nation”

Faculty of History of the KazNU named after Al-Farabi and Sh.Sh. Ualikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology on June 22, 2023 candidate of historical sciences, PhD Zh.Zh. Zhenis will hold a presentation of the book “The Seventh Country – the new national-state ideology of the Kazakh nation” (2023).
Zhenis Jomart Zhenisuly was born in 1972 in Turkestan region. In 1995, he graduated from the Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Kazakh National State University named after Al-Farabi, majoring in historian-orientalist, translator of the Persian language.
He worked as a senior researcher at the Institute of Turkology of the international Kazakh-Turkish university named after Khoja Ahmed Yassawi.
In 2015 – 2017, he served as the head of the Department of Iranian Studies at Al-Farabi KazNU.
In 2017-2019, he worked as an assistant to the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in Iran on economic issues (Iran). After serving at the embassy, he became the director of the Kultegin Scientific Research Institute.
From 2021 to the present – Sh.Sh. Ualikhanov is a leading researcher and head of the department of ancient and medieval history of Kazakhstan and neighboring states of the Institute of History and Ethnology.
The author has written more than 10 scientific works. Among them are: “Traditional worldview of Turks: historical continuity and changes” (2021), “Iran and Turan in ancient and medieval times” (1998), “Idea of Eternal Country” (2013), and others.
Zh.Zh. Zhenis in his book analyzes the historical and ideological foundations of the national-state ideology of Kazakhstan, defines the tasks for the development of the country’s ideological sphere, and proposes ways to introduce mechanisms for a new system of ideological reasoning.
The purpose of the presentation is to tell about the historical foundations of the new national – state ideology in Kazakhstan.
