Dear Colleagues!

Institute of History and Ethnology named after Ch.Ch. Valikhanova on October 19, 2023 at 11.00 am is holding a round table “Problems of preserving national identity in Kazakhstan: stages and historical experience.”

The round table is held as part of the implementation of the fundamental scientific research project No. BR20280975 “Historical traditions of Kazakh statehood and problems of preserving national identity.”

Currently, the problem of preserving national identity and the integrity of state territory is of particular relevance against the backdrop of geopolitical challenges. In this regard, it becomes important to comprehensively study the history of the formation of nomadic states on the territory of Kazakhstan, the formation of the Kazakh Khanate, its political history, the fight against invaders, the role of the great khans and batyrs in the formation of Kazakh statehood and the protection of its sovereignty and independence.

The purpose of the round table is to identify the features of Kazakh statehood in the study of historical traditions and problems of preserving national identity.

Working languages of the round table: Kazakh, Russian.
