On November 22, 2023, Institute of History and Ethnology named after Sh.Sh Ualikhanov was visited by the vice-rector of the University of Warsaw, Marcin Gurnikevich, and the doctor of the Military Technical Academy, Pawel Stawarz. The meeting was attended by the director of the institute, doctor of historical sciences, professor, corresponding member of the NAS RK Ziyabek Ermukhanovich Kabuldinov, deputy director for science, candidate of historical sciences Shamek Bayanovich Tleubaev, deputy director for public relations, candidate of historical sciences Aksunkar Tursunovna Abdulina, Scientific secretary, PhD doctor Nurgul Nursultanovna Kurmanalina, senior expert of the institute, candidate of historical sciences Shashaev Auezkhan Kadyrzhanovich and Advisor of the Director, PhD Dr. Olzhas Bekenuly Kuanbay.

At the meeting, the director of the institute, Ziyabek Ermukhanuly, noted that due to the imposition of sanctions against Russia, today Kazakhstan has become the main center of the Eurasian space, and stated that if cooperation is established, the potential of the institution he heads is undoubted. And deputy director Shamek Bayanuly spoke about the previous achievements of the institute and said that the institute already has experience working with Polish scientists within the framework of the joint Polish-Kazakh historical commission. According to him, the Institute is now in close contact with three scientific centers in the mentioned country (Museum of the Second World War in Gdansk, Museum of the Memory of Siberia in Bialystok, Polish Academy of Sciences).

According to Dr. Pawel Stawarz, the Polish Institute of Security and Defense has opened a Center for Central Asian Studies, and they are interested in organizing conferences and debates with countries such as Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan.

At the meeting, anthropologist M. Gurnikevich shared his research in the field of social and cultural anthropology. According to him, the scientist is going to study changes in the lives of 10 different nations (Germany, France, Egypt, etc.) during the war. At the same time, the vice-rector stated that he would make every effort to conduct joint research in the future.

At the end of the meeting, director Ziyabek Kabuldinov gived guests  several scientific books published by the Institute. The parties agreed to make every effort to achieve partnership in the scientific and business fields in the future.
