On February 23, 2024, the Institute of History and Ethnology named after Ch.Ch. Valikhanov hosted a meeting with the famous historian, Professor of Mimar Sinan University, Doctor of Historical Sciences Abduakap Kara, organized by the Council of Young Scientists of the Institute. The meeting was attended by leading researchers and young scientists of the Institute, headed by the Director general of the Institute, Professor Z.E. Kabuldinov, Deputy director for Science, Candidate of Historical Sciences Sh.B. Tleubaev.

During the meeting, Abduakap Kara shared his experience in the field of science with the youth, made an interesting and informative speech, focusing on his work in the field of history and the advantages of mastering new technological opportunities in the field of science. An exchange of views took place on Kazakh-Turkish relations, the study of the December 1986 uprising, etc. Professor Abduakap Kara translated selected articles by M. Shokay translated from French into Kazakh, Russian and Turkish and presented on his behalf to the staff of the Institute a recently published work entitled «The Policy of the Soviet Union towards the Turkic world». This work has been translated into several languages, including English, German, Uzbek, and Kyrgyz.
