On April 3, 2024 a group of scientists headed by Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of the Kyrgyz Republic, Director of the Chingis Aitmatov Institute of Language and Literature, President of the Aitmatov Academy, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor A. Akmataliev visited our Institute.

The meeting with Alatau colleagues was conducted by the Director of the Institute, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Professor, Corresponding Member of NAS RK Kabuldinov Z.E.; Senior Expert, Candidate of Historical Sciences, A. Shashaev; Scientific Secretary, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Leading Researcher N. Kurmanalina, as well as Candidate of Historical Sciences J. Oshan and R. Orazov.

During the meeting were discussed interesting facts and memories about the writer, public figure Ch. Aitmatov, as well as about Kazakhstani public figures, writers, historians, who at one time were closely associated with Ch. Aitmatov. At the same time, the work on the basis of archival documents, carried out within the framework of Aitmatov’s researches together with qualified Kazakhstani scientists-historians was highlighted.

Fundamental research works and monographs published by the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology were handed over to the guests of honor.

Summarizing the results of the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to different stages of kazakh-kyrgyz history and expressed valuable proposals for joint implementation of scientific projects.
