Institute of History and Ethnology named after Sh. Sh. Ualikhanov

The department of historical demography and the assembly of people of Kazakhstanis one of the structural divisions of the Ch.Ch. Valikhanov Institute of history and ethnology.

Currently the department concern on such issues as:

• implementation of complex, fundamental projects; development of new, promising areas of science;
• organization and conduct of comprehensive research; publication of generalizing collective and monographic works;
• conducting scientific research related to the ethno political sphere, as well as the development of comprehensive ethno political research.
• interaction with the structures of the APK, the scientific and expert and ethno-cultural community, as well as the Department conducts an examination of decisions in the field of migration processes taken by state governing bodies, legislative and executive authorities;
• providing an integrated approach to the study of ethno politics in the context of socio-economic, political and cultural processes.
