Biography

 Kabuldinov Ziyabek Yermukhanovich, Kazakh, was born on December 13, 1965 in the settlement of Baidalin of the Tavrichesky region of the Omsk area. In 1983 he graduated from the Pristanskaya Secondary School of the Tavrichesky district of the Omsk region. He was educated at the Novosibirsk School of Physics and Mathematics. In 1984-1986 he served in the ranks of the USSR Armed Forces. In 1994, he moved to his historical homeland – the Republic of Kazakhstan, to Pavlodar.

In 1997, he defended his PhD thesis (specialty 02.00.07) on the topic «Kazakhs of Western Siberia in the second half of the XIX – early XX centuries (historical and demographic aspect)» (Almaty, 1997, Abay ASU (scientific supervisor Zh. Kasymbayev). In 2003, he successfully defended his doctoral dissertation (specialty 02.00.07) on the topic «Kazakhs of the inner provinces of the Russian Empire in the XVIII – early XX centuries (historical aspect)» (Almaty, 2003, Abay ASU (scientific consultant Zh. Kasymbayev). 

Education:

1986-1991 – studied at the full-time department of the History Faculty of Omsk State University, led the Kazakh student movement, held weekly Kazakh evenings for 1.5 thousand young Kazakh students.

In 1998-2000 he studied at the Kazakh Institute of Jurisprudence and International Relations, majoring in Jurisprudence (Kazakhstan).

Holder of 5 certificates on human rights (OSCE, Polish Association of Legal Education).

Head of the Working Group on the study, preparation of conclusions and recommendations on the rehabilitation of Kulaks, bais, semi-feudal (middle peasants) and Peasants-sharua of the State Commission for the Complete Rehabilitation of Victims of Political Repression (2021).

Participant and leader of more than 40 scientific projects (2000–2020). Under his leadership, 5 candidate and doctoral dissertations were defended.

Scientific interests: formation of the Kazakh diaspora and irredents; history of Astana; history of Kazakhstan in the XVIII – early XX centuries; formation of national diasporas in Kazakhstan; Kazakhs of the Omsk Irtysh region, etc.

Author of more than 500 scientific publications, 5 monographs and 7 schoolbooks, including under the auspices of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
